There’s plenty to like, but I do wish the film was more interested in solving its own mysteries instead of just being a rushed imitation of Makoto Shinkai’s far better romantic fantasy anime film, Your Name (2016).

A wholesome romance, with a twist near end that wrings your heart, but the ending definitely fixes that broken heart with the ending everyone wanted. (i cried)

Although this is certainly not the most complex or most romantic movie, It was still captivating with stunning visuals and a solid score. It was nice to see Anzu's character development and the simple and easy to follow story was very enjoyable. Would definitely recommend and is one of my favorite anime movies I've ever seen.

This movie had so much potential and fell completely flat. They spend the entire movie explaining how time works just to completely go against it when they should have spent the movie building up the characters and their relationships. It got to the end and I didn't care at all other than being super upset that all of it made no sense and all questions are left completely unanswered. This was not the emotion invoking movie they were trying to make it.
