Gareth v This Hitchcock inspired thriller is big on plot twists but does lose it's way a bit in the final act and at times seems a tad overstylised. Still an entertaining enough flick. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 06/18/23 Full Review David G I enjoyed this noir thriller; it kept me guessing to the end. Very good acting and filmmaking. Suspenseful and kept my interest. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 03/24/23 Full Review colin m Tense enjoyable drama set in Greece and Turkey. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 03/30/23 Full Review dee m At least a thousand cigarettes died in this movie, that's one thing I know for sure. Viggo had one hanging off his lip in every scene - which I found very distracting. He also carried two suitcases all over hell's half acre that was supposed to hold all their belongings, which seemed odd considering all the outfits his wife wore during her brief appearance. The movie seemed to just skim over the story with no real suspense or drama. I was trying to decide halfway through if I should give up or finish watching. Rated 2.5 out of 5 stars 03/31/23 Full Review Audience Member I checked it out because it had three very noticeable names as the leads. I was expecting so much more based on that alone. I suppose the premise was interesting, but the movie was just so... so dull! I don't even know how to improve it. The film was just boring, and, in some spots, nonsensical. Rated 1.5 out of 5 stars 02/17/23 Full Review jelisije j An underrated and under appreciated hidden gem of a film. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 03/31/23 Full Review Read all reviews Post a rating

Wendy Ide Times (UK) While this cool, crisp thriller may not have the complexity and polish of Anthony Minghella’s film, it does have a lean, urgent economy of storytelling that makes for a watchable yarn. Sep 12, 2023 Full Review J. R. Jones Chicago Reader [Hossein Amini's] polished storytelling carries this along, generally compensating for the mundane visuals and the actors' skilled but unmoored performances. Dec 11, 2014 Full Review Randy Cordova Arizona Republic At a certain point, it's akin to reading a mediocre murder mystery. You finish it because you're too far in to quit, as opposed to actually caring how things wrap up. Rated: 2.5/5 Oct 16, 2014 Full Review James Croot Stuff.co.nz A welcome throwback to Americans-in-European-peril classics like Charade and The Third Man, The Two Faces of January is a taut, tense and tricksy thriller worthy of your attention. Rated: 4.5/5 Nov 7, 2022 Full Review Keith Garlington Keith & the Movies An intelligent and efficient thriller. Rated: 4/5 Aug 27, 2022 Full Review Michael J. Casey Michael J. Cinema Well paced with the charms of a Hitchcock thriller. Rated: 3/5 Nov 1, 2021 Full Review Read all reviews
