Rachel O An accurate description of what someone goes through when they lose someone to suicide. Searching for answers, grief, blaming others, anger, and rage. If you're looking for what it really feels like to lose someone this way, this is it. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 10/22/23 Full Review bradale j I absolutely LOVED this movie. The only thing that wish the director had done was to give a backstory on the protagonist. It's NOT ANOTHER ZOMBIE MOVIE, but a movie that really just concentrates on SURVIVAL on a mundane level. The main character could have been any one of us. The ending was unexpected. You'll have to watch it to see what I mean. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 03/30/23 Full Review Audience Member I was lucky to find this "under the radar" superb film with its realistic storytelling and relatable characters. Engaging from start to finish, I cared about these people. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 02/13/23 Full Review Audience Member A very depressing subject, but a positive story nonetheless. We don't get as many movies like this anymore and it's great to have something like this come along. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 02/24/23 Full Review Audience Member Slow, boring with an anticlimactic ending. Rated 2 out of 5 stars 02/08/23 Full Review Audience Member A film that sparks conversation about the cultural nuances in the south Asian community. A must see for parents who want to have deeper conversations with their children about the topic of suicide which is becoming more prevalent. G. Allen Johnson San Francisco Chronicle A film that, at best, seems like one of those cliched life-lesson movies on the Lifetime channel. Rated: 2/4 Jun 14, 2018 Full Review James Berardinelli ReelViews With solid performances and a sensitive screenplay, The Valley offers a window overlooking a heartbreakingly common situation whose signs and symptoms remain elusive. Rated: 3/4 Jun 10, 2018 Full Review Ben Kenigsberg New York Times As an awareness tool, "The Valley" feels simple-minded. As a drama, it feels exploitative.
