Brian Orndorf Blu-ray.com "The Veil" has a certain way with menace, but it never follows through on the sinister business it introduces. Rated: D+ Jan 28, 2016 Full Review Matt Donato We Got This Covered The Veil's constant visual greyness highlights the mundane nature of this supernatural cultism flick, even in recognizing Thomas Jane's wonderfully demented antagonist. Rated: 5/10 Jan 25, 2016 Full Review David Nusair Reel Film Reviews It's an intriguing setup that is, unfortunately, employed to less-than-engrossing effect by director Phil Joanou and scripter Robert Ben Garant... Mike A Thomas Jane was great. The rest of the film was interesting but mediocre. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 08/10/23 Full Review Audience Member Completely underwhelming. Yeah, I know it wasn't a big budget film, but it was far from what I expected. A little character development would have been nice, and perhaps allowed the viewer to empathize with the lackluster cast as they slogged through this predictable yarn. It felt stitched together from varied pieces of actual true events, and sewn haphazardly together into a less than believable, tapestry of sorrow. Find a better way to waste 90 plus minutes of your time than this. Hug a porcupine, or perhaps a dip in a septic tank... Avoid this clunker at all costs. Rated 1.5 out of 5 stars 02/23/23 Full Review ashley h The Veil is a disappointing film. It is about the lone survivor of a mass cult suicide who returns to the scene of the tragedy. Lily Rabe and Jessica Alba give horrible performances. The screenplay is badly written. Phil Joanou did a terrible job directing this movie. I was not impressed with this motion picture. Rated 1 out of 5 stars 03/31/23 Full Review Audience Member Very stupid movie, $4 million dollar budget movie, what a waste, who got paid off for this? Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 05/14/19 Full Review Audience Member Thomas Jane is great. Rated 2 out of 5 stars 01/29/19 Full Review Read all reviews
