Brynne M Going into the movie, I had high hopes for something crazy and stupid. This movie for sure delivered that, and then some. It's obvious that there wasn't a large budget for the film, especially within the first few scenes, but I think it made the film even better. The DIY look of certain scenes with the dinosaur really ties the absurdity of the movie's plot. Speaking of which, the plot is one of the most creative movie plots I've really seen, being so out there that I can't even imagine someone sitting in a room pitching it to executives. This film truly represents that movies and film doesn't need to be an expensive art to create, that creativity really does go a long way. With the help of a street-smart prostitute, he decides to use his newfound power to fight crime, corrupt clergymen, and a gang of mysterious ninjas. The film is self-aware in the best way, leaning into its campy nature with cheesy special effects, deliberately awkward dialogue, and a charming disregard for logic. Beneath the chaos, it explores themes of faith, morality, and vengeance—but never takes itself too seriously. If you appreciate indie films with ridiculous concepts and earnest execution, “The VelociPastor” is a joyfully chaotic experience that belongs in the collection of cult cinema lovers. This film is one of the best films ever created in my opinion and forfills everything to be such a good movie. I would also be lying if I continued to say this film is super good but i=this film is one of those films that is so bad that it is good. I will say that the Velocipastor character himself does reminded me of hulk as he only changes when he is angry but ultimltly this film is still a fun to watch film and do highly recommend. The VelociPastor is absolutely wild, but I will say that it was a fun ride watching the film. The story, being about a pastor who gains the ability to turn into a dinosaur and uses those powers to fight crime is hilarious. It felt like an over-the-top Marvel side story, which doesn't mean it's bad at all. The movie totally knows how silly it is and leans into the absurdity at every turn, from the super low-budget special effects to the intentionally bad acting. I definitely laughed a lot during this movie, and not because it's "so bad it's good", but the insane amount of creativity for a low-budget film, which is hilarious in its own way.
