Carlos Alberto C Incoherent, poor film making, the director cannot make any situation suspenseful, let alone credible. The editing is even worse. The screenplay? Nefast. This movie does not even get to the quality of an Ed Wood movie. Rated 1 out of 5 stars 04/21/24 Full Review Mark H Dumbest movie in ages. Bandits have been shooting and killing your crew. I know! Let's suck face next to the nitroglycerin truck! If this turkey was dubbed, subtitle it. If not, find real actors next time. In any case, view the original w. Yves Montand in b&w. Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 04/12/24 Full Review Uwe M Oustanding the acting of Alban Lenoir but the script is a mess. Waited for the story and characters to develop which took ages. Confusing events which do not contribute to the story. As the great scene of the original movie from 1953 is included where they have to cross a small lake of oil, which is a clear reminder that this movie refers to the original the writer/s messed the film up. Rated 2 out of 5 stars 04/06/24 Full Review Kamal G I love it. I did not watch the older version and did not know it was associated to a book. Good plot for a weekend movie or something you want to watch after work. Some lengthly parts to it but hey just fast forward abit and you will def enjoy this show. Romantic part did not over power the action part of it and good twist to it. Do not like the ending. he should have survived but hey..cant get everything we want Rated 5 out of 5 stars 04/05/24 Full Review Cork B Dumb and boring. Characters were not particularly memorable or likeable. I had to google search the title 30 minutes after watching this because I couldn't recall what it was. The production values were better than an indie film I suppose. Rated 1 out of 5 stars 04/04/24 Full Review Danny H The terrorist must be the worst shots in history.... using a machine gun, from spitting distance, & they can't hit either of 2 large SUV's.... they'd be kicked out of terrorist school.... Daniel Rester Willamette Week This Wages of Fear is a slick but unremarkable rendering of Arnaud’s premise, mostly sacrificing tense situations with the nitro in favor of clunky flashbacks and boring shootouts. Apr 23, 2024 Full Review JK Sooja Common Sense Media There isn't much here to justify this remake. Apr 17, 2024 Full Review Christian Valentin Spectrum Culture Purely as a new rendition of its namesake, The Wages of Fear might as well be an exercise in anti-tension. Apr 4, 2024 Full Review Matt Lynch In Review Online Why anyone thought The Wages of Fear needed a bog-standard DTV version, we may never know. Apr 3, 2024 Full Review John Serba Decider This Wages is a passable-enough timewaster filled with 2-D characters, a few relatively enjoyable action set pieces and an emotional arc that never gets much traction. Apr 1, 2024 Full Review Charles Hartford But Why Tho? A Geek Community The Wages of Fear delivers an action story best described as fine. Rated: 5/10 Mar 31, 2024 Full Review Read all reviews
