Audience Member What mind numbing boring movie idk wtf these reviews are talking about. Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 03/28/24 Full Review Alec B There's really no reason for this film to exist, but due to Zemeckis' technical prowess it is highly watchable. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 12/14/23 Full Review Timothy D The Walk is single-minded Iike its bullheaded main character. It features some exceptional, nail-biting suspense scenes and a stirring finale. However, its mediocre build up offers annoyingly little breadth before the big scenes. Additionally, the cinematography looks like it has a smoothing filter, making much of the film look like mid CGI. The Twin Towers scenes were quite good, but I doubt I would watch this again. Rated 2.5 out of 5 stars 02/26/24 Full Review Mateusz C The Walk makes a spectacular scene in its own interpretation of it Rated 4 out of 5 stars 06/14/23 Full Review Kenneth C A fascinating story regardless, and well worth a watch - if you can stomach heights. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 04/17/23 Full Review shing ching w "Yo, THE WALK is a sick movie! Joseph Gordon-Levitt kills it as this crazy high-wire artist who walks between the Twin Towers. It's intense and visually stunning, and you feel like you're right there with him. If you're lookin' for an adventure movie that'll get your heart pumpin', then this is the one for you, bro." J. Hoberman The New York Review of Books The stunt is worth the wait. In a sense it's something we've been waiting for since September 12, 2001. Mar 28, 2017 Full Review Max Weiss Baltimore Magazine Just the mechanics of getting to the roof are fun -- filled with surprise allies and strokes of luck and last minute escapes. Rated: 3/4 Jun 12, 2016 Full Review Jason Bailey Flavorwire It's applause-worthy work, and a killer climax. But a killer climax does not a motion picture make. May 3, 2016 Full Review Sean Axmaker Stream on Demand Zemeckis is in his element here and the film starts to pick up energy, and as the outcome is no doubt--it's history, after all--Zemeckis eases us from the thrill of the caper mechanics into something more spiritual Aug 19, 2023 Full Review Keith Garlington Keith & the Movies Through all of the character history and careful planning the narrative sometimes sputters in its attempt to maintain a crisp pacing. But once it comes time for the big act, “The Walk” is every bit as high-tension and breathtaking as you would expect. Rated: 3/5 Aug 21, 2022 Full Review Brian Eggert Deep Focus Review Zemeckis separates the audience from the profundity of what Petit accomplished by allowing his visual components to overshadow the inconceivable real-life story.
