Critics Consensus

The Wall makes the most of its limitations -- albeit perhaps not quite enough to stretch its tight-focused action into a consistently gripping feature-length thriller.

Tara Brady Irish Times The dialogue ("We're not so different, you and I") can sound a little ripe, but the action is appropriately brutish and impeccably timed. Rated: 3/5 Aug 15, 2017 Full Review Simran Hans Observer (UK) It's an interesting premise, with moments of tension and visceral gore, but Taylor-Johnson's performance isn't strong enough to rescue the film from lengthy stretches of banality. Rated: 2/5 Jul 30, 2017 Full Review Matthew Norman London Evening Standard Like waterboarding, it ought to qualify as "cruel and unusual punishment". Rated: 1/5 Jul 28, 2017 Full Review Leigh Monson Substream Magazine ...mostly due to its modest length and effective lead performance, I'm inclined to give The Wall a modest recommendation... Rated: 3/5 Sep 24, 2020 Full Review Leslie Combemale Cinema Siren Though overall it may be better to wait for the home viewing, for those looking for tension-filled distraction on film and in a darkened theater, The Wall is for you. Rated: 2.5/5 Oct 18, 2019 Full Review Kate Rodger Newshub (NZ) Too one-dimensional and not nearly compelling enough for the big screen. Rated: 2.5/5 Sep 12, 2019 Full Review Read all reviews

Maicol B no siempre los buenos ganan, aun así me parece muy irreal que un solo tirador pueda causar tanto daño aun ejercito altamente preparado Rated 4 out of 5 stars 11/10/24 Full Review yungg B i cant believe you've done this. Rated 1 out of 5 stars 09/15/24 Full Review George Z No way Trained American snipers and marines can mess up this badly... total cringe garbage... Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 09/13/24 Full Review Kim C I really really enjoyed this movie. Even though it is not action packed and chaotic it really shows the intensity of some situations and the patience needed. I was hooked the whole movie and the ending is completely unexpected. Fabulous film Rated 5 out of 5 stars 08/31/24 Full Review Audience Member Mild suspense and at times good dialog. Long stretches of boredom and I know it's a movie and won't be terribly accurate but it was cringy how bad they messed this one up. Rated 1.5 out of 5 stars 07/08/24 Full Review Trevor M Honestly not a bad movie. Had me pulled in pretty well and made you think about the perspective of the people other side of the US military during our involvement in the Middle East. The only thing that really kept me from giving it 5 stars was the ending. Not quite what I was expecting, and to just have Isaac die like that was annoying. I understood the whole cycle/loop hole behind the ending but just wasn’t what I was hoping for. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 06/15/24 Full Review Read all reviews
