Tim Cogshell FilmWeek (KPCC - NPR Los Angeles) The process of how [her] pain becomes comedy is very interesting to watch. Sep 16, 2019 Full Review Guy Lodge Variety Notwithstanding any comparisons, there's more assured personality here than there was in her last feature, the bright, proficient but somewhat synthetic big-studio teen romance "Everything, Everything." Sep 13, 2019 Full Review Matt Fagerholm RogerEbert.com The Weekend quickly proves to be the mopiest comedy in many a moon. Rated: 1.5/4 Sep 13, 2019 Full Review Michael Dequina TheMovieReport.com Zamata is not only deadly with her precision-timed one-liners but piercing in the more dramatic beats. EILEEN V Very slow and jokes not at all funny. Very realistic on the take of a real persons life going through heartache but could have been alot better. With all the good actirs in it, was disappointed that the script wasnt better for them, esp the jokes. Rated 2 out of 5 stars 04/12/23 Full Review Audience Member I really enjoy Stella Meghie work. Her work is timeless, smart and witty. She tells our story through our lens. Her work is refreshing and carefree. Black people can have love, wealth and a beautiful life. She gets that. Rated 4.5 out of 5 stars 01/12/22 Full Review Audience Member Dark humor is the best humor. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 02/03/23 Full Review Audience Member Extremely funny! I have already watched it twice & will probably watch it again after the details fade a little. And yes, it IS still funny the second time thru. Plus, the music is perfect...which always makes it even better. Enjoy! Rated 5 out of 5 stars 01/23/23 Full Review Audience Member This film got worse and worse by the minute, please avoid watching, it was awkward and confusing. It almost felt like they made it bad on purpose, this film was total waste of my time. Saddest part is that it had great actors, I expected way more of it. Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 01/29/23 Full Review Audience Member One of the best movies I've seen in the pass week years Rated 5 out of 5 stars 02/12/23 Full Review Read all reviews
