The Wildman of Shaggy Creek is a warm, gentle, and easy-to-like family adventure that works best when it focuses on friendship, courage, and the small emotional truths between parents and children. Go to Full Review

There’s something about it that felt like a ’90s movie, of course, minus the phones. But that sense of adventure, wonder, mystery, and real-life family struggles render some sections almost Spielbergian. Go to Full Review

Jesse Edwards’ harmless coming-of-age film employs 80s throwback tropes to present a creature feature that becomes entirely listless because it is neither able to conjure up dread nor some form of mystery that would make it memorable. Go to Full Review

This wonderful coming-of-age adventure and kiddie-monster movie belongs in company of films such as “The Goonies,” "E.T., and “Stand By Me.” Go to Full Review

Aug 4 I liked that I was in the movie and got to see my friends in it as well See more Cameron H @camthemovieman Dec 30 “The Wildman of Shaggy Creek” is a thrilling and exciting adventure film for the whole family. The cast was great, I loved the cinematography, and it was well written and directed. The suspense and atmosphere really work in this film, and I loved how it doesn’t rely on cheap jump scares to achieve its thrill factor. Overall, if you’re a fan of Steven Spielberg movies, the “Goosebumps” series from the 90s, or other nostalgic adventure films, you’ll enjoy this movie. It has great messages about friendship, family, and overcoming your fears. It’s an entertaining movie for the whole family without being too scary for younger viewers. See more Les N Oct 27 Here Rotten Tomatoes loses the respect of others when this film is given a high rating, when it clearly doesn't deserve it. From what I see it's too short, has zero decent actors (the kid was ok) and the reviews 'professional' are from local vendors and half of the audience reviews are from friends. Shame. It then makes me wonder if other reviews are trustworthy. See more Rebeca G Oct 18 One of the worst movies I have seen in the past few months See more Sheevaa R Oct 18 The acting was painful. Regretted watching this. See more Grace D Oct 5 Awesome family movie! See more Read all reviews
