This classic stop motion animated fun film should have a dvd release its a spectacular journey through one man's mission to get recognition for his amazing work made before computers and cgi this is one of the best most silly but thoroughly enjoyable examples of great talent

While this movie (and it's 10 min short film progenitor) was clearly made in earnest and the handmade special effects have merit, as a film it's narrative is flimsy and the overload of special effects from start to finish grows tiresome after the first 20 minutes. One of my favorite " well known unknown " films. Every time I watch it, I see something new. Delightful piece of work. I wish it hadn't been so hideously screwed over by Richard Kaye, the producer. It could have been such a treat for wider audiences. As it is, it's a fine film with shortcomings that could be fixed.
