Wasserman clearly feels more comfortable in the personal rather than the political realm, but all the same, there’s something radical in Hanna’s realization she just wants to be mediocre as her grand point of satisfaction.

Healthy sexual pleasure is certainly important. Instead of encouraging the thoughtlessness that can accompany the pursuit of random sexual pleasure for its own sake, perhaps a real friend could tell Hanna to imbue her life with more thought-full-ness.

This was not very interesting. It felt shallow and the growth the character experienced seemed to be to just embrace who she was already but no longer question that.

This was more the definition of spousal abuse- dealing with a full blown narcissistic husband than anything to do with finding “herself” sexually. The husband’s lines need to be re-written. At the end of the film im wondering why he was even in the scenes?

If you are a fan of Scandinavian cinematic quirkiness then you will find enough to keep you watching. But it ultimately fails to deliver a punchline about the human condition or see any real change in the main character that makes you think. It's like they wrote 2/3 of the movie and then forgot to finish it.
