Wendy Ide Observer (UK) It's the most perceptive comic portrait of the adolescent male since The Inbetweeners, but with a naturalism that is unexpectedly disarming. Rated: 4/5 Jan 16, 2017 Full Review Kate Muir Times (UK) This exuberantly daft teenage comedy has some similarities to The Inbetweeners but with a kinder, gentler wit. Rated: 4/5 Jan 13, 2017 Full Review Lena Hanafy Little White Lies An incredibly enjoyable experience that never falters in keeping you invested. Rated: 3/5 Jan 13, 2017 Full Review Don Shanahan Every Movie Has a Lesson The revelation of this film isn't the pseudo-criminal horseplay, which goes more than a little off the rails in the zany department by the climax. It's the wild relationship between Conor and Jock. Rated: 3/5 Apr 12, 2021 Full Review Scott Hines Decider It's fortunate that our current boom era of streaming services can give second life to foreign films like this, ones that audiences stateside might otherwise have missed. Mar 15, 2019 Full Review Edward Porter Sunday Times (UK) It's not funny enough to rise above its clumsy story, but it has something rare in movies of its type: a good heart, which it demonstrates in surprisingly sweet scenes between Conor and his mum (Hilary Rose). Rory M Stupid but in the right way Rated 4.5 out of 5 stars 05/11/24 Full Review mike f Much better than it's slow start suggested. Very amusing, original and enjoyable. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 02/17/24 Full Review isla s This is a light hearted, somewhat gentle (in terms of the plot pace, although it contains some quite strong language at times) watch. Its a pretty basic plot, with two bumbling adolescents and the comedy is mostly a case of have a laugh at how daft they are, so its hardly the most clever or original film around but its certainly an easy watch and while the start didn't especially appeal to me, I did find myself laughing at some of the scenarios the two main characters found themselves in. Its silly, daft and thankfully amusing but not especially memorable. I thought it was an alright watch but thats about it. Rated 2.5 out of 5 stars 03/31/23 Full Review Audience Member so fun! loved recognising all the places as a cork local Rated 4 out of 5 stars 01/31/23 Full Review Audience Member Love the humour and the characters.
