MaryAnne T. @MaryAnne Oct 28 Pretty on point for 1970 but it lacks a lot of substance. I had no idea ‘Marion’ had married ‘Jimmy’ until I read the synopsis, so when she went back to him I was confused. I’m not even sure what the title has to do with the movie. I also never realized how incredibly hairy Peter Sellers was. Loved him & think Goldie Hawn is great but if I could’ve never known this movie existed, I’d be good. See more CodyZamboni Z Oct 3 Movie starts off amusing, with Peter Sellers as a TV food critic hitting on every hot girl in sight, He's a jerk, Then Goldie comes in, full of life and smiles, but damaaged, She's been passed around, treated like dirt by men, Sellers suddenly feels pity and ceases any attempt at conquest, They hang around for 2 weeks, go to Southern France and a warm, tender, slapsticky relationship develops, Goldie is so charming, attractive, funny, and Sellers' lothario falls in love with her, and his character gains depth and feels true heartbreak, I like how the movie ended, It was more true to life, with an honesty that is missing from typical Hollywood rom coms. See more 08/04/2015 Fun, as a lot of Peter Sellers comedies are, but the comedy itself is simmering more than laugh-out-loud. See more 01/18/2015 Comedia sin muchos vuelos.
