Dennis Harvey Variety While Bigelow’s vision isn’t as inspired as one might ideally like, it does earn credit for not taking the road-fork that leads to jump scares and other stock devices dominating a majority of franchise-heavy horror at present. Jul 12, 2024 Full Review Antonia Langford Guardian For a debut feature, Thine Ears Shall Bleed is atmospheric, easy on the eyes, occasionally thrilling and more than occasionally stylish, but it just isn’t as smart as it wants to be. Rated: 2/5 Jul 8, 2024 Full Review Abbie Bernstein Assignment X Creepy period folk horror. Rated: B Jul 20, 2024 Full Review Robert Martin Starburst The effort required to make this film must have been huge, and what has been achieved is admirable. Certainly, Thine Ears Shall Bleed is a solid experience, which bodes well for what lies in store for the Bigelow boys. Rated: 3/5 Jul 18, 2024 Full Review Sumner Forbes Film Threat Thine Ears Shall Bleed is scarier than one might expect and more than fulfills its role as a creepy horror flick that takes place in the woods. Kristin B This is one of the worst movies I’ve seen in years. Stupid plot with terrible acting. Do not waste your time. Rated 1 out of 5 stars 08/17/24 Full Review Solomon K Not bad at all as current horror movies go. At the end there was a bit too much telling as opposed to showing and certain things that were obvious got verbally explained which was unnecessary, but the first 75% of the movie was excellent. It was an interesting excellent creepy period horror film until the ending when it became more of a really good episode of something more akin to Tales from the Crypt, Rated 3 out of 5 stars 08/06/24 Full Review Bridget K Unexpectedly captivating! You’re instantly drawn into the disturbing suspense of witnessing a family being torn apart. Amidst a spectacular untouched countryside of the 1860’s, evil finds its way into destroying an unsuspecting family. The horror is perfectly orchestrated. Sensational performances. Outstanding direction. A screenplay that delivers. A must see! Rated 5 out of 5 stars 08/03/24 Full Review Audience Member First review I've ever written so that should say something. It's not perfect, to be sure, but it's WAAAY closer than I thought it would be. It's a rare movie that offers a mystery and unravels it slowly but convincingly (mostly). Some may not like the explanation, though. Surprisingly impressive acting and good use of music and sound too. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 08/03/24 Full Review Steven L This show is a well thought out thriller. It is not your run-of-the-mill slice and dice horror film. It has an interesting plot and solid story line. I really liked it. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 07/22/24 Full Review Ray M REALLY ENJOYED THE MOVIE. iT KEPT MY ATTENTION THROUGHOUT. UNUSUAL HORROR FILM WITH A RELIGIOUS FLAVOR TO IT. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 07/22/24 Full Review Read all reviews
