Thirteen Lives recounts the incredible true story of the tremendous global effort to rescue a Thai soccer team who become trapped in the Tham Luang cave during an unexpected rainstorm. Faced with insurmountable odds, a team of the world's most skilled and experienced divers -- uniquely able to navigate the maze of flooded, narrow cave tunnels -- join with Thai forces and more than 10,000 volunteers to attempt a harrowing rescue of the twelve boys and their coach. A tense, albeit slightly too long, disaster film. Howard shoots the underwater/cave sequences like a horror film and the sound design, as things scrap the cave walls, is exquisite.

What an absolute emotional and thrilling masterpiece. I especially like that there was no dubbing for the thai characters - it was just so much more authentic this way. 100% recommend!

Great movie! So realistic, well-acted, and brilliantly directed by Ron Howard. It felt like a documentary. The ending was so intense for me. I was a nervous wreck. Viggo Mortensen and Colin Farrell are two of the most underrated actors in the industry. Plus, they did their own scuba diving!
