Manche kritisieren die Vorhersehbarkeit, aber sind nicht alle Filme irgendwie vorhersehbar, und wie lange halten Überraschungen vor. Der Film ist charmant, er spricht bzw. er spricht mich unmittelbar menschlich an. Die als Narrativ eingeschobenen Textpassagen überzeugen vor allem gegen Ende durch eine hohe sprachliche Qualität. Einen gewissen Mangel in der Geschichte erkenne ich allerdings in den offenen Enden: Der Witwer mit den Zwillingsmädchen bleibt in der Story als Lücke stehen. Die Parallelität zweier sich anbahnender Liebesbeziehungen bleibt unaufgelöst.

I loved this enchanting feel good movie. Of course it's not reality which is the reason I liked it so well I guess. I loved the friendships and the grumpy old man. I'd love to live like that, near friends. Being raised by ducks is a little improbable but it's not supposed to be probable. It made me laugh and feel warm inside. I've watched it twice already.

The acting in this is better then most movies and it doesn't rely on the spoken word the expressions of these actors in portraying their roles is simply Fantastic.

Absolutely loved all of the performances. Didn't expect much from watching the trailer but was unexpectedly delighted by the movie. Safe for everyone and all ages. Not many of those around these days.

A slight, sweet tale about would-be novelist Bella whose life is governed by rules and checks until she tackles her overgrown garden. It doesn't even try to be subtle with the gardening and spreading your wings metaphors but its four misfits are engaging.
