anthony p Well made movie! the members of this bad are out of control which makes for a great documentary and you can tell that there was a close bond with the characters. Also, looks like a lot of well known faces have worked with the band or had an unbelievable story to tell about Gwar. I don't known if I'd survive a live concert though, guess I'd have to get covered in blood to find out. Great movie would watch again! Rated 5 out of 5 stars 09/24/23 Full Review Movie F The film offers an interesting glimpse into the personal lives of the band members and the close-knit community that surrounds them. The movie is a must-watch for fans of GWAR and anyone interested in the subculture of heavy metal and underground music. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 01/29/23 Full Review Audience Member Not at all what I expected! I really loved this film, I knew of the band but wouldn't call myself a fan so I wasn't sure if this was going to be up my alley, but what it actually was, was a really poignant emotional story about a bunch of misfits trying to make art and rock on their own terms! Rated 5 out of 5 stars 02/12/23 Full Review Audience Member A slightly repetitive but honest, funny and affecting documentary of a very strange band. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 01/23/23 Full Review Audience Member This movie rules. Go watch it now!! Noel Murray Los Angeles Times An oddly inspiring film... celebrating how a crafty DIY aesthetic and a twisted vision can nearly always find a receptive audience. Jul 22, 2022 Full Review Nick Schager The Daily Beast A portrait of creative misfits who came together to express themselves through grotesque, childish, and surprisingly revealing outsider art. Jul 19, 2022 Full Review Leslie Felperin Guardian Even if the antics shown here aren’t really your thing, it is still a hoot seeing Gwar members get interviewed by a game Joan Rivers: you can tell that beneath all the latex most of them are sweet, normal folk... Rated: 3/5 Jul 19, 2022 Full Review Matthew Pejkovic Matt's Movie Reviews Digs behind the blood and guts spectacle of the most notorious of heavy metal freak shows and reveals a story of family, ego, heartbreak, and unrepentant artistry. Rated: 4/5 Jun 3, 2023 Full Review Louisa Moore Screen Zealots It certainly is fun to take a ride alongside one of the most shocking group of degenerates to ever hit the music scene. Aug 15, 2022 Full Review Stephen Silver Tilt Magazine It’s a wildly entertaining documentary, and also a very honest one, even turning into The History of the Eagles for a time as the band members share the details of their many bitter feuds with one another.
