Audience Member Rather than glorifying triad life and exploiting the hell out of it, Raymond Yip concentrates on character development and building relationships in Young & Dangerous spin-off Those Were The Days. And since Yip already got the knack of it in Portland Street Blues, he does quite a good job here too, especially considering the predictable material presented by screenwriter Manfred Wong. The characters are loaded with emotional strength and the puppy love story between Gigi Leung and Jordan Chan is exeptionally cute. Those Were The Days hence provides more involvement than expected from a Y&D-franchise such as this. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 01/29/23 Full Review Audience Member owwwwwww i love this movie, a spin off of the famous young & dangerous series, it focuses on chickens past dunno why he is called cock in the movie. but nonetheless the acting and storyline of the movie is top notch and explains a lot of the storyline of chicken between to why he didnt show in part 5 of y & d. This movie was worthy of being an official young n dangerous movie in my opinion Rated 4.5 out of 5 stars 01/13/23 Full Review Audience Member A continuation of "Chicken's" story from the Young and Dangerous series. Missing the presence of Ekin (he does make a cameo), but still solid. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 02/21/23 Full Review Audience Member Maybe the best movie in the Young and Dangerous series (the only possible challanger to that title will be Portland Street Blues, the only movie in the series I haven't seen). This is not a gangster movie, this is a drama/love story about a gangster. Long time fans of the Y&D franchise will enjoy this movie more if they don't attempt to fit in this story with the overall continuity of the other films. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 01/21/23 Full Review Audience Member This is the in depth story of one of the big triad leader, Mountain Chicken (San Gai) from the Gu Wak Zai (Young and Dangerious)Series, based on the famous HK Gangster Comics. This is one of Jordan Chan's best role. I like the background music alot. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 01/15/23 Full Review Audience Member I really like the story. I dunno why.
