Lourdes F This documentary puts into perspective what Deaf people go through. It showed how they were discriminated against and what the students at Gallaudet University had to go through to get a Deaf President to be over the school, a natural movement for that time. It had never occurred to me that the Deaf community would be treated less than the rest of the population, just because they couldn't hear. It is a movie you'll want to see if you want to gain a better perspective into the Deaf world. Rated 4.5 out of 5 stars 11/11/23 Full Review Audience Member Learning about the history and lifestyles of deaf people helps me understand more the experience hearing or lack of hearing affects us culturally. Rated 4.5 out of 5 stars 01/12/23 Full Review Audience Member I think I'd like to own this movie! Rated 4 out of 5 stars 01/31/23 Full Review Audience Member This documentary was so well done. I am really impressed by how entertaining it was and how much I learned. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 02/04/23 Full Review Audience Member Educational and inspiring. Excellently put together without being in your face. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 01/13/23 Full Review Audience Member A really good documentary about deaf history. (Though for a better look at deaf culture, I prefer Sound and Fury.) Lots of things I never knew about, such as Alexander Graham Bell's involvement in the history of deafness.
