Audience Member crazy but good movie Rated 4.5 out of 5 stars 11/26/19 Full Review Audience Member Norman Chui is great in this psychedelic, late Shaw Brothers schlockfest - the silkworm style emerges from the lo-fi sfx cocoon! Rated 2 out of 5 stars 02/08/23 Full Review Audience Member This movie starts off pretty normal, but slowly turns into crazy wuxia madness. Constantly talking about fighting moves and styles, this movie could have influenced Kung Fu Hustle (cocoon scene) and Kill Bill Vol. 2 (standing on sword scene). It has some crazy wire-work and a lot of story, but thankfully its entertaining enough, even with its glaring errors. Such as an old master whose magic laser attack conveniently fails when the plot needs to, or how the main hero needs three women to power transfer the magic style of Silkworm, and he just happens to have three women with him. Despite all the craziness, its entertaining and about as weird as Holy Flame of the Martial World. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 02/05/23 Full Review Audience Member Where-in we learn that, Wu-Tang is, in fact, something to fuck with. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 01/18/23 Full Review Audience Member Lots of fast paced acrobatic combat. The pretty standard plot and trappings begin to wear a bit thin until the unique, outrageous denouement. Rated 2 out of 5 stars 01/12/23 Full Review Audience Member 'You killed my papa or my grandpa, now prepare to die!' 'Once I reach the highest level,no body could ever beat me!Muahahaha!' Those kind of Ego and revenge motivation will never removed from Wuxia or Martial Arts Flicks.Plot is not their point, what they want you to focus is how they choreograph the fight scenes, how to shoot a perfect view for the epic fights of their memorable characters. Bastard Swordsman, great characters and lot of sword clashing and fights are admirable. You may asked, hey, how can they fly like that? This is no logic and dumb!!! Then Let me ask you,Why those warriors from DragonBall can fly and their spirit can destroy the Earth and yet,you still called it AWESOME!??
