Heather Hogan Autostraddle Drawn's animation actually elevates Notaro's comedy, which has always been known for its meandering narrative style. Jul 28, 2021 Full Review Jude Dry indieWire Whatever may be lost in of Notaro's expressions or physical flourishes is gained back twofold by such delightfully unexpected twists Rated: A- Jul 28, 2021 Full Review Kathryn VanArendonk New York Magazine/Vulture Notaro's writing works in an animated context in a way that wouldn't be true for every comedian. Drawn is delightful, but this is not an invitation for a new surge of animated comedy specials. Jul 28, 2021 Full Review David Reddish Queerty Continuing a triumphant run that has seen her conquer both television (in Star Trek: Discovery) and action films (in Army of the Dead), lesbian comedienne Tig Notaro returns to stand up in her most hysterical special to date Rated: 3.5/4 Mar 13, 2022 Full Review Garrett Martin Paste Magazine Drawn churns through so many different styles and techniques during its 50-plus minutes, with Notaro's hilarious stories grounding the whole project. Rated: 8/10 Jul 28, 2021 Full Review Anne Brodie What She Said The stories are underwhelming overall but her delivery, so lazy and tonal, works. Jul 23, 2021 Full Review Read all reviews

Pamela S How could Tig Notaro be even funnier? With brilliant animation. This is brilliant! Rated 5 out of 5 stars 03/24/23 Full Review Audience Member So damn funny was laughing so he whole time amazing animation as well Rated 5 out of 5 stars 01/25/23 Full Review Audience Member Typical of Notaro's brilliant, one of a kind deadpan and totally original humor, combined with beautiful, one of a kind (and very eclectic, just like her comedy), perfectly rendered animation! Rated 5 out of 5 stars 02/11/23 Full Review Audience Member I love Tig's material, even in a format I don't particularly care for. Notaro's deadpan style relies somewhat on facial expressions (for full effect, at least) As wonderfully animated as Drawn is- it robs the viewer of a visual connection between body language & material, and acts as a further distraction. Often, I found myself looking at the screen wishing instead for footage from the actual show. Despite flaws in execution, Drawn is still worth it's salt. Tig delivers in her hilarious & absurd storytelling, covering everything from the Kool aid man, to oral surgery to Dolly Parton songs. B- Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 02/03/23 Full Review Audience Member I couldn't finish it. When she takes seemingly common or ordinary objects and expands their significance to something approaching absurdist cosmic talismans it's brilliant--when it works. This did not work. AT ALL. It came across as random things that have some innate cultural significance that is rather odd on the surface. But she went nowhere with it. Other than dumb repetitive commentary on shapes and superficial musings that are so beneath her. Still love her. I get it thought, Netflix comes around with a bag of money, people willing to watch anything during the pandemic so why try. Rated 1.5 out of 5 stars 02/08/23 Full Review Audience Member Hilarious. The animation adds a whole new dimension to Tig's deadpan style. Rated 4.5 out of 5 stars 02/24/23 Full Review Read all reviews
