Barry Hertz Globe and Mail Any sports film, no matter its scale or handicap, has to land its narrative and aesthetic punches - and Tiger clings to the ropes more often than not. Rated: 2/4 Nov 30, 2018 Full Review Courtney Small Cinema Axis Tiger's insistence on checking off boxes becomes distracting. This makes for a boxing film that has much to say, but lacks the overall punch in its delivery. Rated: D Dec 7, 2018 Full Review Anne Brodie What She Said It's inspiring what encourages staying the course and working to uphold one's beliefs. Nov 30, 2018 Full Review Mark Dujsik Mark Reviews Movies It's more concerned with [formula], in order to provide a simple and feel-good story, than with the specifics of its subject, his challenges, and his faith. Rated: 2/4 Nov 30, 2018 Full Review Liam Lacey Original Cin As ambitious as it is, Tiger is nevertheless a tame take on an actual Canadian sports triumph. Rated: C Nov 30, 2018 Full Review Andrew Parker The Gate Tiger could've blended a traditional, feel-good sports movie narrative with a healthy dose of social and religious commentary. Instead, it's all rather silly and goofy rather than inspiring. Rated: 3/10 Nov 29, 2018 Full Review Read all reviews

Rated 4.5 out of 5 stars 11/01/22 Full Review Audience Member First of all I want to say that I thoroughly enjoyed this film from start to finish. The critical aspect I would have to say that overall quality of the film seems to feel lacklustre and under produced. Some of the supporting characters were more caricatures than real. Which is not to say that some of the talent wasn't absolutely spot on because they were. Whereas most of the others were less believable. Regardless I would highly recommend this movie. Having said that, my biggest gripe is the need to forward a product by making it something that it's not. Our industry has a tendency to feel the need to change the content so that they can put more bums in seats (I also understand this). In this case it's changing the location of the story from an immigrant to Canada which took place on Canadian soil and as a Canadian figure to making it an American who wasn't an immigrant but born American. I find that aspect of this story unnecessary and quite frankly insulting. Though it hurts me to see that our Canadian culture doesn't stand better in its views knowing that an associating body here in Canada could be so prejudicial and stuck in their ways with exist. I would still want this story to be told based on its location to speak its truth in its entirety and not washed in the money factor of male it American so that we can make it a relevant. The Protagonist is an Immigrant to Canada to go on the build a life as a Canadian. This story is relevant and should be and should have been presented as a Canadian story so it can be seen as completely truthful. I think the producers failed to see the importance of this and sacrificed that aspect just to get more bums in seats to hopefully make more money. Great story shameful to make it belong to another. (Yes I saw the post credit scene and that isn't enough) Rated 4 out of 5 stars 01/14/23 Full Review Audience Member Not bad movie. Gives some good insight of the Sikh religion and how it differentiates to islamic religion. Also the criticism and hatred faced because people are uneducated or ignorant. Definetly worth a watch. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 01/12/23 Full Review Audience Member AMAZING FILM! Rated 5 out of 5 stars 01/19/23 Full Review Audience Member An inspiring true story that takes you on a journey of perseverance, laughter and tears keeping you in Pardeeps corner until the very end.
