Set in Burkina Faso before the French colonized the region, this film chronicles the plight of Saga (Rasmane Ouedraogo), who returns to his family's village and discovers that the woman he was in love with, Nogma (Ina Cissé), has married his father. This doesn't prevent the couple from seeing each other again, however. But when it's discovered that Saga and Nogma have slept together -- which the law considers incest -- Saga's brother Kougri (Assane Ouedraogo) is ordered to kill him.

Audience Member Slightly bizarre but very compelling story from Burkina Faso. A strange set of circumstances unleashes a unique drama. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 02/07/23 Full Review Audience Member Une vraie facon de faire du cinema est a la base de ce film ; seulement, le film se repose trop dessus et manque vite d'epaisseur.
