King Bradley is the baron of Broadway, and when he dies all his assets go to his daughter, Toni (Virginia Bruce) -- much to the displeasure of his money-hungry business associates. Fresh from Iowa, Toni finds herself targeted by her father's unscrupulous attorney, Adam J. Fielding (Henry Kolker). Although Toni thinks she's found an ally in nightclub host Steve Gordon (Robert Taylor), he too is part of the plan to cheat her out of her inheritance -- until he has second thoughts.
