Steve D You have seen it all before and done better. Rated 2 out of 5 stars 06/22/23 Full Review Audience Member The best movie song ever sung: Be My Love! Rated 5 out of 5 stars 02/26/23 Full Review Audience Member The classic story of a high class lady and the man from a whole different walk of life that falls in love with her. The musicality is lovely and the story is classic. One of my all time favorites Rated 5 out of 5 stars 02/01/23 Full Review Audience Member A fisherman (Mario Lanza) becomes an opera singer in MGM's Technicolor follow-up to Lanza's first feature; once again, he's paired with Kathryn Grayson and they duet to the Oscar-nominated "Be My Love." Rita Moreno has a featured role and dances with James Cameron to "The Tina-Lina." Rated 3 out of 5 stars 02/27/23 Full Review ashley h The Tower of New Orleans is a decent film. It is about a snooty opera singer meets a rough-and-tumble fisherman in the Louisiana bayous, but this fisherman can sing! Kathryn Grayson and Mario Lanza give good performances. The screenplay is enjoyable but a little slow in places. Norman Taurog did an alright job directing this movie. I liked this motion picture because of the music and romance. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 03/31/23 Full Review Audience Member good pairing and performance Rated 2.5 out of 5 stars 01/21/23 Full Review Read all reviews Post a rating

Clyde Gilmour Maclean's Magazine A lot of other customers seem to like this one, but to my taste it's a second-rater all the way, and the muscular Mr. Lanza a third-rate tenor. Oct 18, 2019 Full Review Read all reviews
