delysid d i totally hated every second of this entire film,,, what was tobe thinking?? Hooper seems to be freely mixing Russell, Gradiva and Franco's Eugenie de Sade with liberal jabs at Christianity. Lots of recklessly staged dream sequences, obvious symbolism, lame mise en abyme, and rough plotting. Pretty hard going, probably best reserved for completists.
