Rated 2 out of 5 stars 02/19/23 Full Review Audience Member "Tey" is a slow moving lyrical piece of foreign filmmaking. We follow Satche for one day... the final day of his life. Through his regrets, memories, and relationships we see a humble man unsure of his place in the world. In between this relaxed narrative filmmaker Alain Gomis gives us tastes of Senegal. We see the daily hardships of the people, including riots. They're neat breaks and clue us in on the smallness of one person, even when that person is on their deathbed. The film is shot with ease and grace, and the performance from Satche is spot-on. Milwaukee Film was right in choosing Saul Williams as the Best Actor for his performance in the film.
