What to Know

Critics Consensus

Given an extra sinew of authenticity by the metatextual casting of Alison Brie and Dave Franco at the top of their game, Together is a body horror that's as emotionally sticky as it is memorably gnarly.

Audience Says

Surging with chemistry from the leads, Together fuses the bizarre with the perturbed, crafting its own sort of alchemy that feels wholly original.

Sergio Burstein Los Angeles Times Shanks seduces the viewer with his enveloping use of space and a mostly practical handling of special effects that never fails to impress. [Full review in Spanish] Aug 11, 2025 Full Review Adam Kempenaar Filmspotting I never thought I’d say this about a scene involving a sawzall and human flesh, but it’s neither played for humor nor horror, yet it’s both awkwardly funny and distressing. Rated: 3/5 Aug 10, 2025 Full Review Christina Newland Time Out Bone-cracking and fleshy and disgusting in all the most satisfying ways a body horror should be, Together gets its visual effects right, and it utilises them gradually and sometimes very drolly. Aug 8, 2025 Full Review Joe Lipsett Horror Queers Podcast A lot of the co-dependency content is very relatable, and Brie and Franco have good chemistry. Plus: it's much funnier than expected and there's even some surprising queerness! Rated: 4/5 Aug 12, 2025 Full Review Andrew Dignan In Review Online Together wants you to think very much about what this all means but, at the same time, not very deeply about it. Aug 12, 2025 Full Review Vinamra Mathur Firstpost Cliches can be fun to watch if done correctly and this horror-thriller is a good example. Rated: 3/5 Aug 11, 2025 Full Review Read all reviews

Todd Mixed feelings about Together. The performances are really good and a few good jump scares. Aside from that I thought the story was kinda dumb. Body horror is not really my favorite kind of horror movie. Also disappointing ending. One of the things about the movie is the cave they are in in the beginning of the movie looks like it's out of Aliens. Nothing worse than thinking of a much better movie when trying to watch this one. I was glad when it was over. One last thing I'll give the movie is alot of the comedy in this movie really worked. Mixes review from me. However I wouldn't go out of my way to watch it again. Rated 2.5 out of 5 stars 08/12/25 Full Review Michael Creepy movie but damn was it weird. I like weird. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 08/12/25 Full Review DeWayne Initially I wasn't sure what to think about the couple, or the movie. I had to give it time to cook a little bit. Once all the pieces were set up, it got better. A weird movie, which is why I liked it so much. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 08/12/25 Full Review Miranda Ending was swill. Otherwise loved it. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 08/12/25 Full Review Camron Solid 7.9 outta 10, beautiful pacing, felt fast but not rushed. The way they were able to incorporate a little comedy with all of the turmoil going on was literally perfect. Could be a solid 8-8.5 for a horror in most peoples books. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 08/11/25 Full Review Lawrence Original concept and scares, pleasantly surprised. Go see this movie for a good date night!
