This version of Sherlock Holmes is fashioned after the Basil Rathbone 1940s version as Watson is a bit of dimwit, like in those movies. The villain is predictable like the 1940s movie. But I love the Easter eggs and cameos. The three cat henchmen will keep popping up in future Tom And Jerry flicks. Not a good or bad mark, just an observation you should look for.

While the crossovers don't always mesh well together and Tom & Jerry Meet Sherlock Holmes does rush its ending, the colourful animation, fun slapstick and the sense that it is trying to tell a story make it a decent Sherlock Holmes adaptation even if it doesn't have the visual style of the Guy Ritchie films.
