Those who want a replacement for Louis C.K. in the schlubby, cynical and brutally honest middle-aged white guy department can look to Tom Segura.

Segura leans into schlubbiness, but his biggest asset is in telling stories, rather than veering into some reductive observational stuff.

Segura has a cheerfully misanthropic middle-aged guy worldview that's secretly warm and generous.

The guy knows how to spin a yarn, neatly inhabiting the part of an everyman swept up into situations beyond his control.

I think this one is my favorite so far of the ones I've watched very enjoyable. Not that many laugh out loud moments but it was pretty funny.

While not entirely focused, and at times perhaps a bit crueler than most comics tend to get, 'Disgraceful' by Tom Segura is, nonetheless, frequently very funny. There's an almost quaint "I don't give a f***" attitude that might have felt a bit tiresome 7-8 years ago, but nowadays feels like a breath of fresh air. His breakdown of words that you can't use does feel more like a comedic rant than something thought out, but other bits, such as the bits about his history of weed, his father's tales of Vietnam, and in particular the bit about the adult video stores, are genuinely great, resulting in near-constant laugh-out-loud responses. No joke, I would argue that this bit was his best since his Steven Segall bit. If you have a high tolerance for bouts of low-brow comedy that doesn't particularly require much insight on the part of the viewer, then I strongly recommend Disgraceful; it's in some ways the most meandering Segura special on Netflix, but is more than worth your time overall.

The best stand-up comic working today. If you've found a gap in your life while Louis C.K is on hiatus, Segura is the answer. Hugely funny and politely offensive. The best in the game these days.
