Joaquin C Got inspired, want to be better. Definitely recommend this documentary. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 05/31/23 Full Review jeffrey c An unquestioning "inside" look at the Tony Robbins' self-help cash machine. Queue the music and the tears (literally). He may not be a guru, but he definitely has a rather enthusiastic cult-like following. This is not the story behind the man, this is an ad for the myth. Just another vehicle for Robbins' multi-million dollar money-making juggernaut. Go ahead... drink the Kool-Aid or perhaps, opt-out. Indeed, he's not your guru. He's just the name on the check and the guy who cashes it. You'll never see the Tony Robbins behind the character. This is the shiny, polished, always full of energy and positivity Tony; the always "on" Tony. This "documentary" may have had a chance if it would have shown us "Tony having a bad day Tony." It would have been interesting to see the Tony who is pissed off at an employee for losing him a million dollars, the Tony who ate and drank too much the night before, the Tony who is actually a real human being. But it doesn't show any of that. This is just the Tony you pay thousands of dollars to see. This is not a normal, flawed person, this is a character, an act, a show in Vegas. But at least it's included in your Netflix subscription. You won't be charged nearly as much as the poor desperate souls in his audience. On a side note, there's an usually large amount of really attractive women hanging around this guy- in the audience (several of whom are directly featured in the movie,) and working for him. So, perhaps I will attend a seminar or two. I like my odds. Rated 1 out of 5 stars 03/30/23 Full Review Audience Member Meh. I love Tony Robbins and his life changing events, but they were so much better than this film makes them out to be, in my opinion. I think this film could dissuade people from going to one when they could really actually benefit. The cursing was way more prevalent than I've seen, and was overkill in my opinion. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 02/19/23 Full Review Audience Member To realize that all your life—you know, all your love, all your hate, all your memory, all your pain—it was all the same thing. It was all the same dream. A dream that you had inside a locked room. A dream about being a person. And like a lot of dreams there's a monster at the end of it Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 01/22/23 Full Review Audience Member Inspiring! A wonderful film about shaping your destiny, letting go of pain and living a full life. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 02/11/23 Full Review l g Very unethical practice from Tony Robbins. He comes across as very ego centred who cares more about being hero worshipped than people Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 03/30/23 Full Review Read all reviews Post a rating

Ella Taylor NPR Willfully or not, the director misses one opportunity after another to pull back and assess. Jul 14, 2016 Full Review Mike D'Angelo AV Club At best, the film is a Rorschach testimonial, lionizing its subject while offering enough objectivity to allow non-believers to opt out. At worst, it's a very long infomercial. Rated: C+ Jul 14, 2016 Full Review Jeannette Catsoulis New York Times Though Mr. Berlinger had final cut, it's hard to find a single moment here that would be out of place in a promotional video. Jul 12, 2016 Full Review Brian Costello Common Sense Media Inspiring but biased docu; lots of cursing. Rated: 3/5 Apr 18, 2017 Full Review David Walters Bloomberg News Despite the film's titular claim, Robbins is very much allowed to play the guru for the full 116 minutes, with no one willing to separate the sage advice from the snake oil. Apr 5, 2017 Full Review Cole Smithey ColeSmithey.com Tony Robbins isn't a guru; he just plays one in your mind. Rated: B- Jul 25, 2016 Full Review Read all reviews
