Frank Scheck The Hollywood Reporter Touch the Wall offers little to justify its padded, feature-length running time. Jun 22, 2019 Full Review Ben Kenigsberg New York Times What "Touch the Wall" lacks is an inventive or compelling presentation. Heavy with platitudes about goals and attitude, it could easily be a short special on ESPN. Nov 28, 2014 Full Review Nick Schager Village Voice Content to stay on the surface, it's a puff piece posing as a real documentary. Nov 25, 2014 Full Review Michael J. Casey Boulder Weekly What is most impressive about Touch the Wall is how incredibly mature and levelheaded its subject is, even at the age of seventeen. Jun 22, 2019 Full Review Jeffrey M. Anderson Common Sense Media In the end, the movie gives a good name to these two Olympians, if not Olympians everywhere. Rated: 3/5 Dec 12, 2014 Full Review Read all reviews

Audience Member When you see how hard these young women work, you'll find it hard not to cheer for them. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 02/23/23 Full Review Audience Member We r a swim family; so, we get it. We enjoyed the inspirational and humble part of the movie. It lacked helping the non-swimmer understand the swimming world--lingo, practice sets (ex: how many miles of each stroke do they swim or how many hours, etc.), time commitment, number of swimmers v. other sports, additional ground work so non-swimmers can attempt to identify with the struggles and such. Additionally, explaining a little better the reason for attending the out of state meets (qualify for funding, why certain meets in certain states, etc). I believe these things would help non-swimmers "get" the movie better. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 02/21/23 Full Review Audience Member Very inspiring and educational film! I felt like a bug on the wall watching Missy Franklin's journey to the Olympics unfold ... great interviews, exciting footage, a fascinating glimpse into the world of professional swimmers and Olympic wanna be's! Rated 4.5 out of 5 stars 01/16/23 Full Review Audience Member This is a must see movie for swimmers and non-swimmers alike! It's a touching and entertaining documentary that showcases the years of work these olympic athletes put in to be successful. It also does a great job of demonstrating just how exciting the sport of swimming can be! Rated 5 out of 5 stars 01/18/23 Full Review Audience Member It was excellent. It really provides a good look at two Olympians. The only problem was it was too short. I would have also liked to have seen some of their training. I'm sure Missy wants to keep most of hers private but Kara is probably not going to swim anymore. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 02/16/23 Full Review Audience Member Was excellent. Shows what goes into being an elite athlete in swimming. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 01/24/23 Full Review Read all reviews
