Chris Stuckmann ChrisStuckmann.com It could not be done better. They pulled no punches with this movie. Rated: A+ Jul 16, 2020 Full Review Alexandra Heller-Nicholas The Blue Lenses Train to Busan is horror as it should be: intelligent, fun, and celebrating life with every mad twist and new take on death that it can find. Aug 25, 2018 Full Review Matthew Lickona San Diego Reader Director Yeon Sang-ho makes smart use of the cramped quarters, and while it's true that his zombies' abilities tend to vary according to the requirements of the moment, it's easy to overlook amid the onslaught of action and emotion. Rated: 3/5 Jan 6, 2017 Full Review Bianca Garner Filmotomy There’s a high degree of believability to this film and the scenario that’s unfolding. Oct 3, 2024 Full Review Joshua Polanski Boston Hassle Many of the film’s great images capture the tenderness of parental love: a close-up of a father’s hand holding his daughter’s, a husband glancing back at his wife and in his dying breaths suggesting a name to his pregnant wife for their coming child... Bindika P Review of Train to Busan: A gripping zombie thriller blending intense action, emotional depth, and social commentary. Must-watch for horror fans! https://wanderbindika.blogspot.com/2025/01/train-to-busan-horror-meets-heart.html Rated 5 out of 5 stars 01/16/25 Full Review Audience Member I have no thoughts its amazing its a must see peak zombie movie full of action and emotions. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 01/12/25 Full Review Benjamin H Train to Busan balances nerve wracking action with heartfelt emotional depth which is further complemented by the terrific acting, gripping direction and masterful special effects. The final scene of the movie felt a bit tacked on, but that's a nearly insignificant nitpick in an otherwise top notch and intelligent zombie flick. Rated 4.5 out of 5 stars 01/01/25 Full Review Jon A The perfect Zombie/Date/Drama. If you are not in tears or at least choked up by the end you need to call your doctor and have your meds checked Rated 5 out of 5 stars 12/30/24 Full Review Dimitri A Not bad because it was more comedic than I expected. Over the top scenes made it so. But the absurdities piled up and I got annoyed. One thing is certain, this is a South Korean film and culturally informative. For that reason _Train To Busan_ is worth skim-streaming. Rated 2.5 out of 5 stars 12/27/24 Full Review Sebastian N This film is an absolute joke. It makes no sense whatsoever. First of all, why did they cast a woman who is clearly in her 30s to play a grandmother? And why on earth would this grandmother open a door to a bunch of zombies? Then there’s the guy at the end who decides to put his hand in the mouth of a zombie. Real cinematic brilliance there! Because, as everyone knows, the best way to fight a biting zombie is by literally offering up your own body parts. Genius! Can someone also explain why the weird limping guy at the start of the film goes on about how everyone is dead, only for us to never find out who he is or how he knew everything before anyone else? It felt like they put so much effort into building his character, but he ended up being as irrelevant as any NPC. That was seriously dissapointing. And why is there just one guy clever enough to fight the zombies while half the world, including the military, is completely useless? The lack of logic is staggering. I could go on and on, but it’s pointless since everyone else apparently thinks this is the most amazing zombie movie ever made for some reason. Long story short: a pretty terrible movie with terrible acting. P.S. Loved the Audi product placement, though! Rated 1 out of 5 stars 12/08/24 Full Review Read all reviews
