Sam Witwicky and his new girlfriend, Carly, join the fray when the evil Decepticons renew their longstanding war against the Autobots. Optimus Prime believes that resurrecting ancient Transformer Sentinel Prime, once the leader of the Autobots, may lead to victory. That decision, however, has devastating consequences. The war appears to tip in favor of the Decepticons, leading to a climactic battle in Chicago.

There ought to be a way to make a live-action film about giant shapeshifting robots that's either a) fun or b) awesome... It's blatantly evident that Bay can only just about manage b) long enough to provide the shots needed to cut into a trailer.

Never mind the ridiculous subtitle. It's really just a precursor for what is to come from the rest of the movie. And Transformers: Dark of the Moon doesn't even try to play down its idiocy.

Are we forgetting compelling humans actors in this? Apparently so, but you won't find one intelligent or compelling in "Transformers: Dark of the Moon." They are all thin, dumb, and forgettable.

The worst of the 3, I can't even watch this in one sitting it's so bad. So many people on here have horrible taste, don't know good writing or are paid for their reviews, because anything over 3 stars makes no sense for this junk.

Featuring the franchise's sloppiest writing and thinnest plot yet, Dark of the Moon takes some credit for brainless entertainment, but loses most of it by repeating its predecessor's sins to highly frustrating results; masking a predictable, terribly-told story and wafer-thin characters behind a severely bloated runtime and VFX-heavy explosions.
