A more intriguing-than-expected documentary about the drummer from Blink-182, which was filmed over nine years. Go to Full Review

This documentary feels heartfelt in its 9-year effort to record Barker's journey, but it's another example of a film made for a very niche audience. Go to Full Review

Louder Than Fear's only issue is trying to do too much with a story that's already great as it is Go to Full Review

By getting Travis Barker to open up, Louder Than Fear separates itself from many of the bio-docs about famous musicians. We get real insight into the raw emotion that pours out of the world's most famous drummer. Go to Full Review

Ed R @JustcallmeER 4 days ago One of the most inspirational and intense documentaries that you will ever watch! Highly recommended! See more Krystle B @RT33533819 4 days ago I love and respect Travis Barker and his journey, so watching this documentary was interesting, but I have to admit it felt a little flat. His autobiography "can i say" was do much stronger. It delved deeper, was more emotional and contained a much more detailed timeline of events with emphasis on his mental and physical journey in a way that this film simply did not. It was, however, cool to hear from the other people in his life and their pov of his life. Not to mention it reignited a nostalgia inside me that I'm always eager to uncover. Overall, worth the watch but I just hoped for more. See more Nezha H @RT73625354 Aug 28, 2026 This documentary was absolutely beautiful, heartfelt, sincere, and so clearly made from the heart. I genuinely don’t understand some of the negative reviews I’ve read. I think, in a way, that says something about what’s wrong with the world today. How can you watch something that feels this honest and vulnerable and only look for things to criticize? But I guess it makes sense, you have to have a good heart to be able to feel things with your heart.. Sometimes people need to go through something devastating to wake up from certain behaviors or realize what matters. But that’s also why sharing these experiences is so powerful: maybe the rest of us don’t have to go through the same pain to learn the same lesson. We can learn from a story like his. That’s what this documentary felt like to me. Absolutely beautiful. Thank you for sharing something so personal and turning such a painful experience into something others can learn from. See more Chris T @RT47909935 Aug 20, 2026 The scene where he is talking about his plane crash and they have him playing drums in the background with pyro is total trash. Nice try at being artistic about a tragic event. That scene had the vibe of relentless nails on a chalkboard. It was an okay doc. Same timeless message: overcome hardship with hard work and dedication to your craft, blah blah blah See more TheMovieSearch R @TheMovieSearch Aug 19, 2026 Travis Barker: Louder Than Fear is a perfectly fine documentary, especially for longtime Travis Barker fans. As someone who isn’t a diehard fan, I went into this knowing very little about him beyond his public image and reputation, so I was interested to see what the documentary would actually reveal. The film does a solid job explaining Barker’s background, his career, and the experiences that helped shape him into the person he is today. It gives viewers a better understanding of where he came from and what influenced his journey, which makes the documentary informative enough to accomplish its basic purpose. My biggest issue is that it doesn’t do enough to pull in viewers who aren’t already fans. Rather than making me finish the documentary wanting to explore more of his music, career, or personal story, I walked away feeling like I had simply watched a standard overview. For dedicated Travis Barker fans, there is probably plenty here to appreciate. See more Cracker B @Kwhite Aug 16, 2026 Louder Than Fear explores the life of a struggling, up-and-coming musician who found the limelight within a tight-knit community of punk rockers in Southern California. After joining Blink-182, the members grew together and forged a brotherhood through their shared struggles. The book examines Travis Barker’s challenges from childhood through adulthood before turning to the stories of his bandmates. Once strangers, they are now brothers. See more Read all reviews
