robert a 'Endearing' is the description that comes to mind. Thoroughly enjoyable family film. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 12/18/24 Full Review Audience Member Really cool seeing the book come to life! For being a very old and low budget film, the acting is amazing and the scenery gorgeous. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 01/27/23 Full Review Audience Member Treasures of the Snow gives audiences a good authentic rendition of Patricia St. John's book. The filming style reminds me of European style filming, which is not a bad thing but just a unique form. The story is uplifting and heartwarming as Lucien, a wayward and mischeiveous youth, strives to make up for his mistakes which resulted in the injury of a young boy. The music and scenery are beautiful. There are some weaknesses to some of the acting, and the degree of realistic rendition of some of the natural elements (i.e. when Lucien leaves for the doctor and crosses through the pass). The movie recieved the Dove Seal of Approval, meaning that it is an appropriate, clean family film. I recommend the movie to anyone who wants to see a story of the journey towards forgiveness, and the example set by a boy who wanted to do all he could to make up for his mistakes. An uplifting film with a happy ending. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 02/17/23 Full Review Audience Member Treasures of the Snow HAS to be one of the most-like the book movies ever! It's as if the movie makers copied it right out of the book! The only things it missed was the mothers death on Christmas, the birth of Danny, and the giving of Klaus. But it could be re-published for video,as Treasures of the Snow:The Beginning. Maybe! Rated 4.5 out of 5 stars 01/21/23 Full Review Audience Member I love this story! The movie is very good but the book is far better! Rated 4.5 out of 5 stars 01/17/23 Full Review Audience Member I love this story! The movie is very good but the book is far better!
