Audience Member It's pity that Yves Montand and Jacques Demy, the two greatest musicians on screen in France, only cooperated once here. Trois places pour le 26 is a feast of Yves and the half biography of himself. Yves delivered his greatest musical performance in films here, entertained the audience with important people and events in his life and exhibited his passion for music and films. A rewarding and delightful journey for American musical lovers and the fans of Montand! Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 02/25/23 Full Review Audience Member The last Jacques Demy movie, is finally a pretty good look at his complete career and themes, the music by Legrand, the dance, the coulours, the theme of the lonly mothers and of people crossing their paths without seeing each others, incest, happy times & melancholy...this movie is kind of a best of Demy. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 02/05/23 Full Review Audience Member An incredible 80s musical. The usual Legrand style mixed with 1980s synthesizers and beats makes for a fascinating musical style. Some great dance numbers and a strange turn in the plot. Rated 4.5 out of 5 stars 01/24/23 Full Review Read all reviews
