The 13% rating is DISRESPECTFUL. This movie is iconic and hilarious and fashion and comedy gold. If you like Romy and Michelle, Clueless, Brady Bunch Movie, Dont tell mom the babysitter's dead... Then you will love this. It's heaven

Having seen this movie several times, I have enjoyed it a great deal with each viewing. It is not only cute and quite amusing, it really shows off Shelley Long's comedic skills. She was terrific on "Cheers" and she is equally good here. The low score from the critics truly surprises me; Don't cheat yourself out of some really good laughs. This is a heartwarming and delightful comedy.

My 5-stars is mainly based on nostalgia. It's honestly a 3-star movie at best. But, it just brings a smile to my face every time I watch it and the laughs still hold up some 35-odd years later.
