Leslie Felperin Guardian There’s a strong sense of atmosphere... and the three actors who play the nuclear family at the heart of the film impress throughout and feel convincingly like a tight family unit. Rated: 3/5 Feb 28, 2024 Full Review Nadine Whitney The Curb Tropic delves into contemporary and future conundrums. Where it is most powerful is in its raw approach to how the brothers must come to terms with the unimaginable. Sep 28, 2024 Full Review Dennis Harvey 48 Hills This astutely handled film is striking for taking a fantasy theme and employing it to such poignant, psychologically-focused ends. Jan 2, 2024 Full Review Keri O'Shea Warped Perspective Its interaction with a fantastical, sci-fi element never goes in the expected direction. There are some extraordinary circumstances in the story, true, but these don’t really go beyond exacting pressure on an already strained family group. Rated: C- Dec 3, 2023 Full Review Avi Offer NYC Movie Guru Engrossing, honest and haunting. Dec 1, 2023 Full Review Kevin Wight The Wee Review It could easily be a melodrama about how a serious illness affects not just those who suffer it, but those around them, but the sci-fi element allows for higher stakes and a sting of classic body horror. Daniel B Too many story lines, and none of them worth the story time spent in them. It's not Sci-if, it's a drama. It's about brothers and a single mother who is another loose story hanging untold. Why is the earth dying? Why are high children being schooled to save the earth? Why is an unhinged student allowed to get so far in the program? So many unanswered questions. Why did I waste time and money to watch this? Answer: stupid trusting sap. Save your money and time, watch something else. Rated 1 out of 5 stars 03/28/24 Full Review Yuri G A beautiful poignant and highly unusual sci-fi movie. Rated 4.5 out of 5 stars 01/25/24 Full Review Read all reviews
