      Critics Consensus

A meditation on mortality full of risky stylistic gambits, Tuesday achieves real grace thanks to Julia Louis-Dreyfus' committed performance and director Daina Oniunas-Pusic's impressive ambition.

Michael Phillips Chicago Tribune Demands and receives new and challenging things from Julia Louis-Dreyfus while announcing a formidable new filmmaker, the Croatian writer-director Daina O. Pusić. Rated: 3.5/4 Jun 14, 2024 Full Review Nell Minow RogerEbert.com Like the under-seen "A Monster Calls," this movie is frank about the messiness of the emotions around death. Rated: 3.5/4 Jun 14, 2024 Full Review Adam Graham Detroit News Pusić's choices, while bold and stylistically daring, simultaneously lighten the mood — without them, "Tuesday" would be a maudlin grief-fest — and undercut it. Rated: C Jun 13, 2024 Full Review Dan Bayer Next Best Picture “Tuesday” bears a lot of similarity to other works of art that have done so, but there’s something in the creative spark behind Pusić’s vision that sets it apart. Rated: 7/10 Jun 14, 2024 Full Review Al Alexander Movies Thru the Spectrum After wasting a Wednesday on “Tuesday,” I feel it my duty to warn you not to do the same – on any day of the week. Rated: C- Jun 14, 2024 Full Review Abby Olcese The Pitch As a writer and director, Pusić has taste to spare, but Tuesday requires tight structure and intimate knowledge of characters, settings and context to really work that isn’t quite there. MARTIN DATTOLA Our first movie since the covid hoax. If my wife and I could give it a lower score we would. Absolutely the worst movie we have ever watched. We could not stand it any more and had to leave 30 minutes early. We were hoping it would get better and it got worse. The trailer was so miss leading and the editor should be fired.Awful Awful movie !!! Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 06/15/24 Full Review Gary G Ok, an odd way to tell a story about death (including that of a main character's child) with a dash of comedy but a good message. If that and the thought that God doesn't exist how we think offends you, then walk away. I side with the critics this time. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 06/15/24 Full Review Janet It was very slow. I can’t beleive that I made it through the whole move! Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 06/15/24 Full Review Skipper Jones Waste of two hours ! Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 06/14/24 Full Review Kelvin G The actors performances were pretty good but the story was too unfocused, with too many random ideas thrown in. There was at least one point where it felt like a solid place to end and then it kept going even though what happened after didn't feel like it amounted to much. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 06/14/24 Full Review Alejandro It was a great moving with many moving messages. It really leaves you thinking about life.
