John DeFore The Hollywood Reporter Has value to all connoisseurs of punk culture, who will recognize the trials faced by a community attempting to put high-minded values into action. Jul 28, 2017 Full Review Glenn Kenny RogerEbert.com You don't have to be a Green Day fan to find this movie interesting, but you'll definitely be more inherently invested in it if you are. Rated: 2.5/4 Jul 28, 2017 Full Review Monica Castillo New York Times While zine-style animated sequences and VHS taped interviews enliven the pace, the documentary is burdened by too much minutiae. Not every scar earned at a concert deserves to be immortalized in a documentary. Jul 27, 2017 Full Review Brent McKnight The Last Thing I See A love letter, a time capsule that tells a story not often told, and might not be otherwise, that funnels the punk energy and urgency. Rated: B+ Jul 1, 2020 Full Review Adam Patterson Film Pulse Despite its unorganized content, overwhelming runtime and information overload, I couldn't help but be heartened by the sincerity and love put into in this film. Rated: 5.5/10 Dec 26, 2018 Full Review Al Hoff Pittsburgh City Paper Despite the grubbiness of the scene, the film has a rosy nostalgia that is an inevitable by-product of middle-aged people looking back at their hilariously awesome weirdo salad days. Audience Member I'm biased, having grown up with this music. Not sure what I'd make of this documentary if that weren't the case as it is extremely long with a tendency to get a little bogged down in minutiae. With some background knowledge though, it's fascinating. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 01/23/23 Full Review Audience Member A bit unorganized, but that makes it so much more punk!
