At one point there’s a a clever shot where the camera eases back and moves between rooms, bringing out the three-dimensionality of the paintings in the process. Go to Full Review

Mike F @RT48578096 6d Really disappointing sadly, booked around six months ago and been looking forward to seeing the show. We saw the van Gogh film last year and were amazed at how we felt lucky to get in closer to each painting, as if we were the only people seeing the exhibition with top notch commentary too. This was much more like a wander back and forth just without others around and in the way. It was repetitive with the same or very similar shots coming up, it didn't feel sequential and the balance of Turner and Constable was 2:1. The commentary did not make me feel I was with a real expert as we did last year, I don't think I learnt much and I couldn't wait for the film to end. Oh, and as if to confirm my comments why was there no mention at all of Margate? Most disappointing. See more Read all reviews
