Bob Thomas Associated Press Two Flags West is just a fair western, despite its big cast and handsome settings. All of the elements for greatness are there, but the whole thing stumbles into a muddy plot. JS Interesting take on Lincoln's decree in1893 that willing Confederates in prison camps could become Union soldiers. Some of these men were sent to to Indian wars, the subject of this fictional story. It is well acted, and is sympathetic to the plight of these men. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 07/11/23 Full Review Audience Member I enjoyed watching this 1950 civil war western set in New Mexico the film had a good storyline and beautiful horses to. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 01/20/23 Full Review ashley h Two Flags West is a gritty film set during the post-Civil war years. It is about the North and South coming together to fight the Indians in New Mexico. Joseph Cotten and Linda Darnell give excellent performances. The screenplay is well written. Robert Wise does a great job directing this movie. I enjoyed this motion picture because of the action. Two Flags West is a must see. Rated 4.5 out of 5 stars 03/31/23 Full Review Audience Member good civil war/war movie Rated 3 out of 5 stars 02/25/23 Full Review Audience Member Average picture with standard action. Linda Darnell is stuck in a part the actress stated that she didn't like, she was right it is a nothing that wastes her presence. For western fans it will do all others watch something else.
