Petros T Featuring great acting from the three kids, "Two Cars, One Night" nails the vibe it goes for. It might not be a movie that will change your life, but it successfully captures the childhood moments it portrays with realism, humour and an understated, poignant nostalgic warmth. Taika Waititi already displays personal trademarks of his, and so this early short not only paved the way for "Boy" (2010) and "Hunt for the Wilderpeople" (2016) but is a pleasant, endearing little film in its own right. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 06/10/23 Full Review Audience Member Very true to the way my parents, uncles and aunties generation spoke and spent their time back in the days. The best preservation of our cultural identity since "Once Were Warriors" Rated 5 out of 5 stars 02/01/23 Full Review Audience Member Kiwi's are crack up lot and this film is far too short. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 01/20/23 Full Review Audience Member A beautifully cinematic short film about the kind of moment you never forget. It's funny, surprising, touching and thoughtful. You can find it on the Cinema 16 World Short Films. Alongside some fascinating early work by numerous great names, this actually stands out as one of the best. Love it.
