Dilara P It's with a heavy heart that I write this review about the latest movie, as one glaring issue stands out like a sore thumb – Chantelle Albers' performance. Her portrayal was a major letdown, and it's safe to say that she single-handedly managed to tarnish what could have been a promising film. From the very first scene, Albers' acting was painfully evident. Her lines felt forced, devoid of genuine emotion, and utterly disconnected from the character she was meant to bring to life. It's as if she was merely reciting lines from a script without any semblance of understanding or conviction. The lack of chemistry between Albers and her fellow cast members was palpable. Scenes that were supposed to be charged with tension or emotion fell flat, leaving the audience cringing and yearning for a more convincing display of acting prowess. It's almost comical how her interactions felt more like awkward encounters than meaningful exchanges between characters. It's not just the lack of depth in her delivery; her expressions were incredibly one-dimensional. Whether the scene called for joy, sorrow, or even anger, Albers' face remained a fixed mask that failed to convey any real sentiment. This absence of nuance made it impossible to empathize with her character's journey, leaving me utterly detached from the unfolding plot. In a movie that boasted a talented ensemble cast and an intriguing storyline, Chantelle Albers' performance served as a constant distraction. It's disheartening to witness a single actor have such a detrimental impact on an entire production. Her inability to effectively convey the complexities of her character made every scene she was in an ordeal to endure. It's important to acknowledge that acting can be a challenging endeavor, and not every role is a perfect fit for every actor. However, in this case, Chantelle Albers' performance was so far from the mark that it's impossible to ignore the negative impact it had on the overall movie-watching experience. Her lackluster portrayal significantly hindered the movie's potential to be a memorable cinematic journey. In the end, the unfortunate truth remains – Chantelle Albers' performance was a disservice to the film. With subpar acting that failed to evoke any emotional engagement, she managed to turn what could have been an enjoyable movie into a struggle to endure. It's a shame that her involvement became the film's Achilles' heel, leaving me with a sense of disappointment and frustration as the credits rolled. Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 08/05/23 Full Review Olivia Y Absolutely nothing to recommend this utter shambles of a film. It's appalling with not one redeeming feature. Why on earth do folks make crap like this? You'd have thought, At some point, on some level, someone associated with this trash would have stopped it and before they were all permanently stained by it. AVOID! Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 06/22/23 Full Review Garry A its enjoyable and fun to watch if you don't expect anything.... Rated 4 out of 5 stars 06/12/23 Full Review Kevin W Fun Western that is well made with solid plot Rated 4.5 out of 5 stars 05/29/23 Full Review chip a This is movie is a good example of why no one cares if Hollywood screenwriters go on strike. It's like watching a community theater project gone terribly bad. Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 05/02/23 Full Review jim v This movie was horrendous. I think the 5 star reviews must come from early "friends and family" reviewers. To summarize: 1) Plot - thin, predictable, formulaic 2) Screenwriting - gawd awful 3) Acting - hard to say. Wasn't great, but the plot and writing were so bad, I'd hate to pin this on the actors. That said, I've seen other actors make the best of a bad plot and script. That didn't happen here. 4) Cinematography - pretty good in spots 5) The breaks between scenes - seem to be made for commercials. Makes it look like it was intended to be for TV, maybe a pilot that never got picked up. This wasn't even in the category of "it's so bad it's good", a category that a more "campy" movie may have fallen into. This is in the category of "there's an hour and a half I'll never get back". If you haven't watched a bad movie in awhile.....strange as it sounds, there's better bad movies out there that you can burn some time on. Pick one of those, and save your time on this one.
