Audience Member It's free on YouTube, though it's a little fuzzy. I read the book about twenty years ago. The movie is true to the book, though a highly abridged version. Very good acting performances. I wish they'd put a high quality version on YouTube. This is an important part of history. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 01/25/23 Full Review Audience Member A truly powerful rendering of the story that inspired a Nation. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 02/21/23 Full Review ashley h Uncle Tom's Cabin has good story, it has a message that still resonates, and it has good actors. In truth story has been chopped up and glued back together. I'm sure that there are better version out there, but for TV movie this is one worth seeing. Basically, this is one of those 1980's TV movies that for the most part has been forgotten (along with a majority of the decade's movies). If you can find copy for cheap I'd recommend adding it to your collection. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 03/31/23 Full Review Audience Member I don't give a rat's ass if it was made for TV; it doesn't excuse poor filmmaking.
