UNDER FIRE unfolds in the scorching heat of the US-Mexico border, where rival drug dealers Griff and Abbott (Dylan Sprouse and Mason Gooding) arrive at a remote drop point for a routine drug deal. But when the exchange goes down, both reveal undercover badges--Griff is FBI, Abbott is DEA--and neither knew they were working the same case. Before they can react, a sniper rains down bullets, killing the cartel members and leaving the two agents pinned behind their vehicle. Forced to work together, Griff and Abbott bicker incessantly as they dodge gunfire, each blaming the other for the ambush. Between sharp-witted jabs and heated exchanges, they pry open the cartel's briefcase to find top-secret government documents capable of global devastation. Now, Griff and Abbott must set aside their rivalry and make it out alive--assuming they don't kill each other first.

Under Fire is an enjoyable enough isolated action film, carried by the strong chemistry between its two leads. It never overstays its welcome and delivers just enough action, humor, and tension to please genre fans.

There’s plenty to enjoy about an action flick that knows how serious to take itself, and is supported by slick filmmaking that holds steady for a good 90 minutes packed with ways to keep things fresh, under fire or not.

Under Fire has a clear target and takes aim; however, that aim is slightly off. Just like anyone with a gun, which is basically everyone in this movie, let’s take a second to all figure out what we’re all actually doing here before pulling the trigger.

This had to be one of the worst action movies ever. Stupid script, bad actors, terrible directing and just overall bad. The director should be ashamed. This is one of many stupid scenes, but spending so much time shooting out the SUV tires, only for them to drive away on 4 good tires. Straight Trash 🗑

A genre film that delivers. It's an independent action thriller that delivers what it promises and doesn't pretend to be more than it seems. It has interesting moments, a simple, predictable but effective plot, which delivers an action thriller with touches of comedy, perfect for a lazy weekend. Its leading duo is the best, and that's more than enough.

Quite possibly one of the worst movies that I've ever seen. I couldn't work out if it was supposed to be a comedy or an action film. It failed to meet the criteria for either. I will never get this time back.
