UNDER FIRE unfolds in the scorching heat of the US-Mexico border, where rival drug dealers Griff and Abbott (Dylan Sprouse and Mason Gooding) arrive at a remote drop point for a routine drug deal. But when the exchange goes down, both reveal undercover badges--Griff is FBI, Abbott is DEA--and neither knew they were working the same case. Before they can react, a sniper rains down bullets, killing the cartel members and leaving the two agents pinned behind their vehicle. Forced to work together, Griff and Abbott bicker incessantly as they dodge gunfire, each blaming the other for the ambush. Between sharp-witted jabs and heated exchanges, they pry open the cartel's briefcase to find top-secret government documents capable of global devastation. Now, Griff and Abbott must set aside their rivalry and make it out alive--assuming they don't kill each other first.

This formulaic action-comedy mostly fires blanks. Go to Full Review

Under Fire is an enjoyable enough isolated action film, carried by the strong chemistry between its two leads. It never overstays its welcome and delivers just enough action, humor, and tension to please genre fans. Go to Full Review

There’s plenty to enjoy about an action flick that knows how serious to take itself, and is supported by slick filmmaking that holds steady for a good 90 minutes packed with ways to keep things fresh, under fire or not. Go to Full Review

Under Fire has a clear target and takes aim; however, that aim is slightly off. Just like anyone with a gun, which is basically everyone in this movie, let’s take a second to all figure out what we’re all actually doing here before pulling the trigger. Go to Full Review

Even when the script is left in a dust cloud of cliches and derivative planks, Sprouse and Gooding make up for it. They are having a ball, and in turn so are we. Go to Full Review

For a movie that seems destined to be buried in a streaming library, it’s a surprisingly entertaining ride. Go to Full Review

Harley V @Harley09 3d It’s been a long time since I’ve watched such an awful movie. Neither of these people can act. I have to give them credit in their attempt to make Gooding look tough but that went out the window the second the movie started. He would be better to make comedies like his Dad should have. Neither one of the characters could possibly work for the agencies they claim to work for they are way too stupid, every one of their lines has been played out in other movies. Nothing in this movie is believable. As much as they attempted to rip off the movie 2 Guns I would call this a major failure. Basically 2 guys and a bunch of dirt is all this movie offers. It couldn’t have cost more than a few hundred dollars to make. See more Deshawn F @Poof94 Jan 4 Great movie with a lot of funny moments very entertained See more Kashgar A Dec 30 You know, it was ok. Sure a bit rough round the edges, acting was spotty in places and it couldn’t quite settle down into either genre of gritty action film or comedic buddy movie. But it didn’t take itself too seriously, it moved at a good pace and it was a fun watch. Can’t ask for much more these days See more Anonymous B @AnonBunnie Dec 30 This is so poorly written and dragged out. The acting feels like a Disney show, really not worth it. See more Tim L Dec 22 Stupid movie. Ridiculous writing. Bad special effects. Unrealistic. Lame. Annoying. Jokes not funny. Below a B movie. I don't think any of the actors have ever held or used a gun before. Note to the writers, a ballistic vest won't stop a sniper round from two feet away. See more Cam P Dec 17 Under Fire (2025) A Movie That Knows the Shape of Better Films, But Not Their Substance Under Fire (2025) wants very badly to be a gritty, testosterone-soaked crime thriller in the shadow of 2 Guns. Unfortunately, it forgets the one thing that made 2 Guns work: charm, chemistry, and a sense that the people involved were in on the joke. What we’re left with instead is a collection of familiar gestures, recycled dialogue, and strained bravado—like a cover band that learned the poses but skipped the rehearsal. 🌽🌽 See more Read all reviews
