This asks us to accept Matt Walsh as a romantic lead, which would be fine if he were given more to play. Go to Full Review
Katie Walsh Los Angeles Times 02/09/2019
The film is light and follows a distinct formula, but Walsh is incredibly charming, and shares a potent chemistry with Godrèche. Go to Full Review

Under the Eiffel Tower just doesn't have the spirit that a rom-com needs. Go to Full Review

While Under the Eiffel Tower hits every genre cliche in the book, the film is able to overcome this due to the chemistry betweenMatt Walsh and Judith Godrche. Go to Full Review

10/19/2021 I think the romance was very forced here, I think it would have been a better and more 'warm' story if it was more of a friendship and finding oneself. See more 02/21/2021 Midnight in Paris rip-off. See more 02/24/2020 Absolutely one of the worst letdowns from start to finish. Kept waiting for some redeeming quality or interesting twist in the story but there was no story and nothing redemptive at any point. The plot was shallow, the dialogue was awful, there was no tension, no character development. It was one bad scene after the other. Wanted to stop watching after about 30 minutes but regretfully we were curious about how it would end, and even the ending was terrible. See more 10/27/2019 Under the Eiffel Tower is light and sweet, but disjointed, as though there was a much longer story to tell and not enough time to tell it. The romance between Stuart and Louise can't grow as it should, so I couldn't buy into it. I love Stuart's character, but he jumps between jerk and stand-up guy with no time in between to develop a whole picture of who he is. Her character is never developed at all. It's fun and disappointing at the same time. See more 10/14/2019 This film just scrapes two stars, mostly because the lead female is really quite good. The lead male has one moment of half-decent acting in the vineyard's fermentation room, but is otherwise pretty dire. The less said about the male second lead the better. He really didn't deserve the screentime he got, or even half of it. The ending is rubbish too. See more 10/08/2019 Utter rubbish! Reid Scott's Scottish accent is even worse than Russell Crow's attempt at an English accent in Robin Hood. It's like a (very) poor man's version of French Kiss - but without decent actors, scrip or soundtrack. Plus which, hardly any time is given over to actually being under the Eiffel Tower itself. Terrible. See more Read all reviews
