kevin w Raymond Massey gives good - imperious - as the secret/okay, not so secret power behind the throne of Louis the 13th, Cardinal Richelieu, who's set on extinguishing the Protestants in France. His spy, Conrad Veidt, a gambler and sword-fighting bully, is of little use though when he falls for the resistance leader's cute sister, Annabelle. A forgotten swashbuckler that has its moments, just not enough of them.
